Spring Sports Registration

Registration for spring sports has passed. If you wanted to sign your child up for soccer and forgot, you need to reach out to Mr. McGowan ASAP to see if there is still room on the roster. You are now at risk of being responsible for the Late Registration Fee as well. If you are interested in Boys Volleyball, you still have time to register.
Spring Co-Ed Soccer is available to students in Pre-K through 8th grade. The regular season is set to begin in the middle of March, with practices starting the first week of March at the latest. Practices could begin as early as the end of February.
Boys Volleyball is STILL OPEN to boys in grades 4th-8th. Registration for Boys Volleyball is tentative and completely dependent on whether we have volunteers to coach the boys this spring. We currently do not have any coaches signed up for the upcoming Spring season. The Boys Volleyball season begins March 20th and will run through the last week of April. Games will be played over Easter break. Practices will begin in March.
Registration forms can be found in our E-Envelope and on the Athletics page of our school/parish website. A link to the registration forms on Mr. McGowan’s teacher webpage as well. Please do not hesitate to turn your completed forms with payment into the school office! Once we have enough players for a roster, we will not be able to take additional players for that specific grade level(s).
If you have any questions, please direct them to Jay McGowan at jmcgowan@stpatriciaparish.com. Thank you.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a youth soccer camp for students in grades Pre-School through 3rd grade for the school year of 2019-20.
There are two camps. The first camp is for the Pre-K and Kindergarten students. This camp will take place from 3:15-4 PM on Wednesdays, starting on Wednesday, 9/4. This camp is an 8 week camp, and the last day of camp will be Wednesday, 10/23.
The second camp is for the 1st-3rd grade students. This camp will take place from 3:15-4 PM on Thursdays, starting on Thursday, 9/5. This is an 8 week camp, and the last day of camp will be Thursday, 10/24.
Soccer Shots Director Tyler Reid and new coach Steve Maas will be our coaches this year. We are very lucky to have them at our school. They will come out once a week for 8 weeks to teach soccer mechanics, lead creative soccer activities, and have FUN! Each camp day will only run for 45 minutes after school and it’s only $99 to sign up for the WHOLE CAMP. There is a $10 registration fee that includes a Soccer Shots jersey for your child.
After school, the students in the camp should meet in the “Primary Walkers’ Room”, otherwise known as Mrs. Lang’s room. On early dismissal days (first Tuesday of the month), you will have to either send your child to aftercare or bring your child back for camp. On normal school days, if your child normally goes to aftercare, they will be dropped off there by Coach Reid/Coach Maas after the camp. (Please notify Mr. McGowan if this applies to your child). Please feel free to send them with a healthy snack to have quickly after school. Keep it small.
*On days with inclement weather, the camp will take place in the gym.

Flag Football Season

This is simply an opportunity for the students to get outside and have some fun. The children will be participating in scrimmages and playing multiple games at each session. This is being offered to all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. There will be one session a week for 5 weeks. There is an extra “emergency day” scheduled in case we happen to experience any inclement weather on any of the days flag football is scheduled. You must fill out and turn in a permission slip for child or children before they are eligible to participate. Permission slips can be found on the school website and in the Brown E-Envelope.

Flag Football Reminders
*If your child has an inhaler, please make sure they bring it with them to every session.
*Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!
