St. Patricia School celebrated Red Ribbon Week, to spread awareness for drug prevention. The Junior Honor Society sponsors this week in October every year with a variety of theme days to get all age levels involved, a coloring contest, and a service project.
This year we had:
“Be famously cool, don’t do drugs!” dress up day.
“Win the war against drugs!” where we had classes dress in different colors for a “color war”.
“Wild about being drug free day” which is always a favorite with crazy socks, hats, and hair.
The week ended with “I can, you can, we can live drug free!” Students wore red shirts and jeans and each person who was out of uniform brought a canned food item to donate to the local food pantry.
