We thought it would be fun to show all of the surrounding schools and communities our Bobcat Spirit,
how we can come together, and still find light at a time when several of us may be struggling to do so.
We hope you will be excited to contribute toward the effort of forming the
“Longest Field Day Relay of Catch” in celebration of this year’s #VirtualFieldDay event. Field day is a much loved day of outdoor activities Mr. McGowan plans at the end of every school year. All our grade levels participate and it is one of the highlights of the year for students. This year we challenge you to play along from home and keep our Bobcat Spirit going strong!
“What do you mean?” or “How do I play”, you might ask? This will be a fun and inclusive activity for
our whole St. Patricia school community. Our goal is to have as many students, teachers, parents,
siblings, and even pets to participate in our relay.
Here’s how you join: Take a short video of yourself catching a ball (or any object) and then tossing it “out of the screen”. If there is more than one person in your video, then take the video of all of you joining our relay game and have the last person toss the ball “off-screen”. We are going to compile all of the videos that we receive into a video displaying everyone who joined in on the relay and post it on our website and social media pages. We hope to create a 100 person #VirtualFieldDay relay!
We’ll share some examples so you have an idea of what the final relay video will be like.

Here’s all you need to do to submit your video for our relay or to share any Virtual Field Day videos
A Dropbox folder is available for our St. Patricia families to share their video files to directly from their smartphones, tablets, or computers. Click on this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/request/Cm8CwV9zZ76IgJ9ji8Xf to access the secure folder. Then click
the “Choose files” button to select the video saved on your device and add it to the folder. You don’t need a Dropbox account or to download an app. If you have any questions with submitting videos, reach out to Mrs. Jen Ahern at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll do her best to help!
We can’t wait to see all your videos and look forward to ending this year on fun note! Let’s Go Bobcats, show us what you’ve got!
